so i decided that i would finally grab a pair of rainboots for this “fall” (40 degree weather makes me doubt it’s the middle of october…and still fall) because i was tired of cold and wet socks and having to defrost myself under a pile of blankets. but lucky me, i went to target, payless, and marshalls, and i found none. i even used my spanglish to ask for them…”tengas zapatos de agua?” (you have rain boots?)
these perfectly yellow, waterproof boots are haunting me.
word on the street is that where the wild things are is amazing! the book itself is just wonderful. i hope to see this movie with mother dearest or with some friends this weekend.
this is it is going to be absolutely fantastic. i already reserved my tix for halloween! it’s okay to miss trick or treating for one year, right?
lo siento (i’m sorry) for not posting in forever! i gotta stop doing that, seriously.
and lo siento for the random title, it’s just this random song that has been stuck in my head a lot:
(this reminds me of how i got this song stuck in my friend, dierra’s, head. i kept singing it and she kept saying that she would get me back someday.)
so i have an event to tell you about, yay!
last weekend, i went to crafty bastards, the best art fair the face of the earth could have, and i took some pics for my dearest blog. there was a jam too!
ahh, what a fun day.
enjoy my post! and i promise that i will post a lot sooner than usual.
yess, i haven’t posted anything here in like a gajillion years. i’m so soooorryy! school kills your social (and blogging) time. yes it does. for example,
“hay gurrfran, wanna go hang out tomorrow?”
“no. i have school.”
see what i mean? it sucks. the weekends are free though, i promise i’m going to reserve time for you. i feel really bad for not updating since like SEPTEMBER 7th.
this weekend was pretty half eventful. i went to DECOY’S gallery show last night. it was fantastic! i loved her work. my sister, bayani, cory and i stayed there for a short while. i hopeD we could go to this jam at UMD though, but we ended up not going. there’s always a next time, right? today was retail therapy day. i went insane at this amazing thrift store called Value Village not too far away from home. i bought two pairs of shoes, belts, shorts and this striped shirt, and i bought my mom’s stuff. i feel so proud buying all these things.
another thing i could’ve done this weekend was go to the Bootleg Festival, a film festival that WBL’s throwing. the only tidbit of the festival i could get was this fabulous link that was posted on facebook on thursday night:
it’s AMAZING. don’t you just loooove the slow-mo parts and stuff? (please excuse my wide range of words)
love, krisha
p.s. i hate the colder days and longer nights. ew.
i love this website more than life itself. it is my style bible and inspiration. honestly, i would not know what to do with my clothes without this nifty little website. it has an amazing forum that have topics on like, everything..from movies to DIY tips. also, if you like lookbook, then check out/suscribe for nylon magazine. it’s a cute little rebellious-kind-of magazine that is my handheld ‘lookbook’.
sorry i haven’t posted ANYTHING for a week! it was the first week of school
i was recently inspired by the breakfast club, because my spanish class had no teachers for two hours yesterday and it was very reminiscent of the movie. it made me want to dedicate a post to the FANTASTIC 80′s movie. it’s amazing. i lovelovelove the clothing they wore, the concept, characters, and just EVERYTHING.
i was interested in john’s and claire’s clothes. john was really rugged and rebellious, whereas claire had a soft yet i-can-be-bad-if-i-want-to look.
i believe that many of the breakfast club fans can agree that molly ringwald (claire) is absolutely gorgeous and judd nelson (john) is absolutely hot. although i am in favor of these two interesting characters, i think that all the characters are extremely amazing. breakfast club for the win!
also, today IS michael jackson’s birthday. his style was also undeniably iconic, like the breakfast club…at least to me. i think i should have been born in the 80′s, eh?
ahh! just like his music, his style was genius and definitely memorable! i would like you to take a minute and contemplate or ponder how a simple shirt, shimmery cardigan, black fedora, black too-short pants (that were probably shimmery too), extremely thick white socks and black shoes can become so inspirational for some designers and so iconic for his generation. isn’t it crazy? i guess it’s all in the genius he was born with.
so happy super birthday michael jackson! enjoy this little clip…which happens to be one of the best performances of all time.
SHE GOT ON A STYLE BLOG! WOOHOOO! her outfit in this picture is very well put together, although i may say she could have been photographed better. she looks great anyway!
so do her a favor and vote ‘YEA’ on the poll for her look!:
